Why Polaris is shutting down Victory Motorcycles
The Polaris group has just announced the end of the activities of the Victory Motorcycles brand … The explanations of the big boss, Scott Wine.

Our teams have designed and produced nearly 60 Victory models that have won 25 industry titles. All this could not have been done without you, owners and fans. You have put your heart and soul into Victory Motorcycles and we are extremely proud to have created this family. ".

Focus on Indian and Slingshot
"Several factors led to this announcement," continues Scott Wine. "Victory has fought to achieve the market share required to be profitable, but competitive pressure in a tough motorcycle market has added to the headwinds. Given the significant additional investment required for Victory to launch a new platform capable of responding to the changing demand of consumers, and considering the good performance and growth potential of (another brand of the Polaris group, Editor’s note), the decision to focus more carefully on Polaris’ energy and investments has become quite clear ".
“This decision will increase the profitability of Polaris and our overall motorcycle business and will improve our level of competitiveness in this industry,” calculates Scott Wine. “We are aiming for profitable growth, and with resources that are not infinite this movement we allows you to be optimistic. We will be able to focus our teams on our premium high-performance Indian Motorcycle brand and on our innovative Slingshot brand in order to accelerate the success of these two brands. "
