"I decided to take a break and live my passion differently", explains the quadruple endurance world champion with SERT (2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007), who started motorcycle racing in 1994.
"The Dakar is a kid’s dream! If the challenge is technical and sporting, its magic remains above all that of an extraordinary human adventure", explains the rider from Lisieux (14) on the MotoRacingLive (Michelin ) of which he is a consultant.

"Participating is for me already a huge satisfaction", continues Matt who will take part in this adventure "with enormous modesty: my goal is to fill up with sensations, take the stages, gain experience and give as usual the best of myself for this first participation. Matthieu has nonetheless been training since the beginning of the year because "in rally raid, it is endurance, physical rigor and technical performance that take precedence", he explains: "my experience, work and The rigor that I impose on myself each year will be undeniable assets riding my Yamaha YZ450FD in such an adventure.
