Riding the green wave, the Mini brand (which belongs to BMW) will present an electric scooter called E Concept at the Mondial de l’Automobile to be held in Paris (Porte de Versailles) from October 2 to 17.
Only one year after the launch of its Mini E, an electric version of the famous Mini, the car manufacturer is entering the electric two-wheeler segment with its Mini Scooter E Concept.
Powered by a lithium-ion battery and a motor integrated in the rear wheel, this concept can be recharged directly from a power outlet using an on-board cable.
Intentionally close to the lines of the Mini (and therefore "trendy" city dwellers who love this more really "mini" car!), This E Concept scooter has 11-inch wheels and is available in one or two-seater version.
Modern, it includes a stylized instrumentation which takes "the form of a tube filled with a liquid which expands", Mini fantasy … And naturally, you slide your Smartphone inside it which plays the role of ignition key, d ‘display and central control element !
When traveling, the Smartphone can also be used as a navigation system, music player and telephone via a Bluetooth connection..
This Mini Scooter E concept perfectly assumes its "BoBo" positioning: "its Mini-style design, its innovative control system and its vast customization possibilities take into account the needs and requirements expressed by young target groups, both respectful of the environment and open to new trends ", explains the manufacturer.
Note also that Smart (Daimler group) is also presenting an electric scooter concept at the Paris Motor Show: the Smart E Scooter, which also uses a lithium-ion battery directly rechargeable from the mains, a Smartphone as a dashboard. and a look inspired by the brand’s small city car.
