MNC of April 9, 2013: BMW will produce small-displacement motorcycles with TVS Motor, and) will see the light of day in 2016, in the form of a single-cylinder 300 cc liquid-cooled roadster called G 310 R.

A small roadster with premium ambition…

BMW is therefore entering the category of motorcycles under 500 cc with this roadster with a design inspired by the S 1000 R and with rather rewarding equipment (inverted fork and standard ABS, in particular) designed for the world market ("the BMW G 310 R supports the most diverse qualities of fuel and meets all antipollution standards ", assures BMW): Asian countries, in particular, are fond of small displacement, economical and practical on a daily basis.

Imported into France at a still unknown price (beware of "premium ambition" and options …), this BMW G 310 R should delight fans of small stylish but robust roadsters, basic but offering "typically premium ambition. BMW ", at ease in the city as in the country and at the beach as in the mountains.

"Extremely compact and ultra-manageable"

"Thanks to its surprisingly low fuel consumption and the relaxed and pleasant position on the handlebars, it invites its rider to prolong the pleasure", promises the German manufacturer by announcing an average consumption of "3.33 liters per 100 km" (see the full technical sheet below).

This "extremely compact and ultra-maneuverable" motorcycle, which we can imagine easy and accessible (785 mm seat height), was designed in Munich (Germany) by BMW Motorrad and manufactured in Bangalore (India) by TVS Motor Company. A low saddle (760 mm) and a higher "Comfort" saddle (815 mm) are also available in the BMW accessories department (see below).

Its open deck cylinder is tilted backwards and the cylinder head rotated 180 degrees, "so that the intake system is arranged forward when looking in the direction of travel" , specifies BMW which announces a maximum power of 34 hp (25 kW) at 9,500 rpm and a torque of 28 Nm at 7,500 rpm for an unladen weight in running order of 158.5 kg.
