MV Agusta presents the Rivale 800 and the new F4 2013
As often at the EICMA show in Milan, the Italian brand MV Agusta presents in a setting with immaculate walls its latest creations: the hypermotard Rivale 800 and the sporty F4 vintage 2013, available in three versions… Presentation.
MV Agusta Rivale 800
When you discover the new MV Agusta Rivale 800, you can’t help but see a clever mix of Ducati Multistrada and Husqvarna Nuda, mixed with a pinch of Brutale 800.
Its line is magnificent with a tubular trellis frame in steel and aluminum plates of any beauty, as well as parts of cycle part of beautiful invoice including a superb single swingarm, a Marzocchi inverted fork, a Sachs shock absorber or a front Brembo braking with radial calipers. 4 pistons and 320 mm discs (220 mm at the rear with 2 piston caliper).
The brake and clutch handles are housed behind superb hand guards incorporating turn signals and retractable mirrors, while the diamond-shaped headlight is nicely dressed and topped with a mini windshield. This houses the large multifunction digital dial of the on-board computer, located behind the handlebars. Added to this picture is the sublime triple exhaust outlet coming out on the right side at the rear wheel..
The engine, borrowed from the recent Brutale 800, has of course the latest technologies offered by the brand, with in particular its counter-rotating crankshaft, its adjustable MVICS traction control system, the management of the ride by wire gas handle and the variable injection mapping (3 modes). It sits prominently in this promising frame, sheltered behind a protective hoof.
Advertised for 170 kg and 125 full horsepower, the Rivale 800 should offer top-notch performance and exceptional driving pleasure. Particular attention has been paid to the compactness of the chassis, as has the handling, with a more open steering angle than that of the Brutale 800, and the comfort of the suspension with increased travel. In short, a superb motorcycle which should be available during the second half of 2013 at a price of 10,990 euros..
