News - New Ducati: a water-cooled Hypermotard in 2013? - Used DUCATI

The Italian site published a stolen photo proving Ducati is working on a new version of its Hypermotard, which would adopt a liquid-cooled twin for 2013.

Surprised as a prototype, this new Ducati Hypermotard thus exhibits a water-cooled twin Testastretta in its bowels.

It remains to be seen whether this is the "small" twin cylinder used on the 848 and Streetfighter 848, or the recent 1198.4 cc engine adopted by the Diavel and Multistrada….

Aesthetically, the Supermoto in bolognese sauce does not seem to have undergone any major changes: in this photo, the sharpness of which leaves something to be desired, we just note that the shapes of the trellis frame have changed (logical, since it surrounds the engine) and that the elegant pots under the saddle are abandoned in favor of a large side exit.

On the other hand, the front part seems hardly touched up, as well as the general line: "So much the better", will rejoice the fans, as it is true that the plastic of the current Hypermotard mixes sportiness and elegance with brio. !

Currently available in two versions (796 and 1100), the Hypermotard is one of the last Ducati to call on the (excellent!) Services of the Air Desmodue: if the Reds made it adopt liquid cooling in 2013, only the range Monster will continue to be air cooled. To be continued on Site: stay connected !
