However, the integration of the engine leaves – for the moment – a little more to be desired, especially at the level of the peripherals: the passage of the hoses of the water radiator is not the happiest visually speaking, while the radiator d oil – placed below the front cylinder – seems very exposed to shocks.

As on the Monster 1100 Evo, the short, stocky silencer comes out on the right side. On the other hand, it forsakes the aspect double superimposed outputs of the "Mostro" in favor of a more angular and bevelled cartridge on its rear part..

What about the Streetfighter ?

Several questions come to mind when contemplating this "Super Monster": with it, Ducati obviously wishes to rekindle the torch of the famous "S4" whose last representative was the S4RS powered by the twin of the 999 in 2006. In what purpose ? Position yourself against the competition:,, not to mention the expectations and …

A fairly logical strategic repositioning therefore, especially from a brand with an image as sporty as Ducati. Except that there is already a “super roadster” in the Red range: the Streetfighter S, a radical 155 hp model built around the late twin of the Superbike 1098….

How will the Bologna brand bring the two together? Perhaps, at first, by playing on prices: displayed at € 19,390, the price is indeed "monstrously" expensive! The future liquid-cooled Monster therefore has a card to play in being more accessible.

Ducati could then push the concept of the Streetfighter to its climax by grafting it the Superquadro of the 1199 Panigale, just to get everyone to agree with this V-twin which spits 195 hp on the diabolical Hypersport of Bologna (read our)…
