Adiva, an Italian manufacturer bought by a Japanese group, exhibits its original three-wheeled scooter with a retractable roof (!) At. Presented as a prototype in 2007 and exhibited from trade shows to shows, the AD3 finally landed in France through Reaction Motana Disalco (RMD), which takes over the distribution of Adiva until now provided by Euromotor (read in particular our ).
As a reminder, RMD is a company of the Moteo group (the two-wheeler branch of Alcopa), which already imports the Sym and Derbi brands in France. The advantage for Adiva is therefore to have a well-established network thanks to this new alliance.
Initially, Reaction Motana Disalco will only market the A3D three-wheeled scooter, a model approved in the L5E category (motor tricycle) and therefore usable with a B (car) license after a mandatory seven-hour training. It is equipped with an original 300 cc Kymco engine, developing 29.37 horsepower at 7,750 rpm.
This A3D is approved to carry two people and is distinguished as much by its wide windshield with two-speed wiper as by its … retractable roof. Yes, like a convertible type car! This retractable roof would fold very easily into the large rear trunk, with a record capacity of 90 liters when the roof is deployed..
Weighing 202 kg dry, the AD3 sits on 13-inch wheels and has a 12-liter fuel tank, as well as combined braking. According to our information, it will soon be offered in a "winter" version with heated saddle and grips and will certainly be available later in 400 and 500 cc versions..
The Adiva AD3 scooter will be available from March 2014 at a price of € 6,499 in white, gray or matt black.
