Yamaha is entering its 40th year of production of off-road competition motorcycles in 2012. However, there is no question of giving in to the midlife crisis by disrupting its range: only the YZF 250 and 450 crosses undergo changes….

Two models of the cross range were improved at Yamaha in 2012: the YZ250F and YZ450F. As for the other YZs and TT-Rs, nothing has changed apart from the decoration of the "Racing" blue color. The PW remain identical to those of 2011.

Always available in a bright white "Sports" in addition to the traditional blue, the two new 2012 Yamaha models benefit from several improvements to make them "more competitive than ever", ensures the brand in tuning forks…

On the "four-fifty", new engine settings and a lighter piston would offer, according to Japanese engineers, "acceleration response and increased power at high and mid-range".

Equipped with a golden chain – be careful, the carpet on the handlebars is not available, even as an accessory … -, but above all a new more rigid front fork, the YZ450F would offer "exceptional driving comfort at all times"…

For its part, the "two and a half" has new injection settings aimed at improving its responsiveness and strengthening its engine character. The new design of the front and rear suspensions would provide " better damping and more comfort in racing and leisure", insists the firm which does not lose sight of its pilots" amateurs "of strong sensations !
