Road rallies - The Dourdou Rally seen from the inside: Toniutti the heat wave! - Rankings, acquired and future titles

The 12th edition of the Dourdou rally, 6th and penultimate round of the 2015 championship, sees the victory of Julien Toniutti (Yamaha MT-09) who takes back the pole position of the championship between heatwave and rain of penalties…. Interior report.

Rankings, acquired and future titles

In the end, the Yamaha Racing rider of Team 2B Deletang Moraco Julien Toniutti won the Dourdou rally for the first time in his career (which rally hasn’t he won yet?) Despite his 15-second penalty.

"I made a mistake, I assume it, I do not discuss this penalty. I should have been more careful with my pointing, it’s my fault", explains Julien questioned by MNC even if the great majority of the pilots consider unfair the decision of the race direction because of the displacement of the CH.

We will highlight the performance of MV Agusta Paris Nord Motos Ultimate Driver Bruno Schiltz who finished the rally in second position on the handlebars of his MV 800 Brutale, 1.78 seconds behind the leader in cumulative day / night times. Christophe Velardi (Ducati 1200 Multistrada – Ducati Moto Prestige Ajaccio) is third.

Julien Toniutti therefore regains the lead of the French championship with 8 points ahead of the second, Christophe Velardi, himself behind at 1 point by Laurent Filleton now third..

Everything will be decided in the final in Saverne (68) at the end of September !

Florent Derrien (690 Duke R KTM Team France), who went the distance despite his fractured right hand, is crowned Mono champion.

Maxime Mettra, "motorcycle guide" for exceptional convoys in "real life", won the title in Sport 2 on the handlebars of his work tool, his Kawasaki 650 Versys du travail (proof that the rally is open to all, whatever the motorbike).

Congratulations also to the husband and wife crew Alain and Edith Amblard for their title of Sidecar champions at the controls of their superb Suzuki 1300 Hayabusa team..

Congratulations to Mathieu Bruneau who already obtains the first Scooter champion title in rally riding the Honda Integra.

And above all, a huge congratulations to Sonia Barbot of the Gexlr team riding her Suzuki 1000 GSX-R, already titled Women’s champion but who won the Topsport category here. Here it is now at the head of the provisional in the category, 4 points ahead of the Kawasaki ZX6 of Team 212 driver Sebastien Brugues … Things will heat up in Saverne !

As for the other categories, it is still fighting for the title in Old between Gerard Spagli (Kawasaki Z1000) and Christian Lacoste (BMW 100 RT). Ditto in Classics between Antoine François Caviglioli (Honda 650 Dominator) and Nick Ayrton (Suzuki 1100 GSXR)

In the Hope category, things are also close between Pierre Reynaud (Aprilia 1000 Tuono) and Alexandra Garcia (Kawasaki 650 ER6 – Team 212, third Women)

In the constructors’ championship, Yamaha took first place in the Dourdou rally thanks to the victory of Julien Toniutti, but KTM still occupies first place in the provisional. 23 points separate these two contenders for the 2015 constructor title: everything is still possible !

There are still a few titles to be awarded and mainly that of the Scratch champion for whom the battle will be hot … Weather forecasters can already predict a new heatwave in Alsace for the final of the Dark Dog Rallye Moto Tour with the rallye de Saverne (68) on September 26 and 27, to follow naturally on MNC: stay tuned !
