The 12th edition of the Dourdou rally, 6th and penultimate round of the 2015 championship, sees the victory of Julien Toniutti (Yamaha MT-09) who takes the pole position of the championship between heat wave and rain of penalties…. Interior report.

A great event, made very difficult by the oppressive heat of this first week of July during which the tenors gave everything to acquire a maximum of points before the final which will take place in Saverne (68) at the end of September..

The race was indeed not easy … Firstly because of this overwhelming heat, but also for more than half of the competitors because of "extraordinary" penalties which were awarded to them following a time control. moved between the first and second loop of the first stage. Even Julien Toniutti will have been a victim, but he will assume until the end…

The Dourdou rally, we all love it! It is a special event due to its progress with the night stage before the day one and its position on the calendar which gives it an air of vacation.

Slight regret for the 2015 edition: the date of passage of the Tour de France cyclist in Rodez (12) and surroundings coinciding with the usual period of the Rallye du Dourdou (July 17 and 18), the organizers of the rally preferred to move their date. July 10 and 11 being already occupied by the Rallye automobile du Rouergue, there were only the dates retained this year: July 3 and 4.

The school holidays which did not begin until the following week therefore did not allow the usual family trips to this event of the French motorcycle rally championship … A detail, of course, but which will usually take away a little charm from this rally. family which remains however one of the most pleasant events of the championship.

For the route of the 2015 edition, the principle of different loops, more and more retained by the organizers, also applies here..

Night stage

  • A large loop Villecomtal (12) – Villecomtal of 93 km with one passage in each of the two specials (Rodelle 3.2 km and Limon 2.9 km)

  • Two small Villecomtal – Villecomtal loops of 53 km with one passage through a special at each loop

Either a stage of nearly 200 km and six specials.

Day stage

  • A 68 km Villecomtal – Villecomtal loop to be done four times with one passage in each of the two specials on each lap.

Either a 288 km stage and eight specials.

A relatively rich provisional program, with 488 km in total and 14 specials. A nice setting for great battles in the heatwave: the rally promises to be trying !

The nerve center, located as always in the friendly Aveyron town of Villecomtal, is just as usually established with a double runner park placed on the camper van area and on the town’s football stadium..

The whole village is in turmoil during the Dourdou Rally, the village’s main annual event for a dozen years!
