As you might expect, Sebastien Lagut (Yamaha 450 YZF) wins the first edition of the Tunisian Moto Tour. A deserved victory for this talented ex-crossman !
First departure at 8 am this morning, from the Dar Ismail hotel, luxurious accommodation for the competitors and their possible assistance.
On arrival at the Cafe des Delices, the final podium was made up of Sebastien (Yamaha 450 YZF) followed in second position by Julien Toniutti (Yamaha 450 YZF Team 2B / Deletang) and Franck Coudert (Ducati 1200 Monster) third.
The course is magnificent today, Mountain, superb landscapes and a small difference with the previous stages: one of the stages, the first, is more suitable for sportswomen.
What makes Franck Coudert happy on his Ducati 1200 Monster: Franck has the best time but only a few hundredths ahead of the "meteorite" Yamaha 450 YZF by Julien Toniutti (1’19.30 are displayed for the two riders, separated by the official stopwatch with the advantage for Franck)! Sebastien Lagut is third at 3 tenths.
As yesterday, a one hour meal break is planned in a very nice little terrace restaurant … But not for the sponsor of the Tunisian Moto Tour…
Franck Tiozzo falls in liaison (because of a badly negotiated "lying gendarme" …) before arriving at the break: the selector shaft of the Victory is snapped! Superficially injured, Franck would have liked to leave but the mechanics did not follow and he had to resign himself to abandonment. Regrettable so close to the goal, but the laws of motorsport are relentless !
The second special is none other than yesterday’s first special, which we are doing once again. Technical, gravely and rutted, it was won by Sebastien Lagut (1’26.90) ahead of Julien Toniutti (1’28.00) and Maxime Mettra on his MV Agusta Rivale Helit Motos (1’33.30).
Then it’s back to Tunis to join the Cafe des Delices, the last time control of the rally. For my part, I finished the race in seventh overall position on the handlebars of the Yamaha MT09 of Team Deletang Site, at the foot of the Multicylinder podium: 4th, but happy to have been able to experience this great rally !

This first edition of the Tunisian Moto Tour is a success: with an organization up to the task, a good-natured atmosphere and an atmosphere of competition against a tourist background, the TMT has gathered all the ingredients to make this race a great event..
Congratulations to the Option Sports Events team and a big thank you to the Tunisian volunteers who devoted themselves to making this event a success. See you soon for another event of this kind: stay connected !
