This tidy sum – who will reach, who knows, the billion in 2017? -, is "to be compared to the 3.4 billion euros spent by the State each year by Road Safety, and the 35 billion euros of annual damage for society", takes care to put the ministry into perspective.

As a reminder, these revenues feed a special allocation account "control of traffic and road parking" which will be the subject in October of a "report of the Minister of the Interior to Parliament (which) will detail, for the first time, the precise allocation of these funds, in particular towards the improvement of roads and road safety "to the tune of 665 million euros … but also towards the deleveraging of the State (439 million).

In conclusion, the Ministry of the Interior recalls that "8 driving licenses out of 10 have a balance of points equal to 12". We can thus estimate that road safety is frankly not abusive … or consider that this growth area is phenomenal. !
