The 7th Challenge des monos (CM2 for close friends) will start on April 17 and 18 in Ledenon with the Coupe de France Promosport, the first of six events of the 2004 season..

Here we go again for a round: the monos challenge celebrates its 7th birthday this year.

Reserved for 4-stroke single cylinders "whose appearance should be that of a road racing machine" (trails, enduros, cross, supermotards and monobikes are not allowed), this challenge is open to any pilot member of the association CM2 and holder of an NCA license issued by the FFM.

The Monos Challenge has two categories: Prototype and Monosport. The Prototype category, in which Olivier Desjours will challenge his title on the handlebars of his Honda 450 prototype, is reserved for motorcycles delivering a maximum power of 60 HP..

The Monosport category, won last year by Fred Soulie riding a Yamaha 660 SZR (absent this year), is open to production motorcycles. Power is limited to 45 HP and includes a limited list of authorized engines:
