Ducati launches the 848 Superbike Challenge
Ducati France unveils an enticing challenge built around its Supersport 848: integrated into the Top Twin Challenge, the 848 Superbike Challenge will open the doors of the Bol d’Or 2010 to its four best representatives !
Motorcycle racing, intimately linked to the sporting aura of the Bologna twins, is more than a technological foil for Ducati: with 15 constructors’ titles in World Superbike and one crown in MotoGP, the heart of the Italian brand is beating truly keeping pace with the lap records !

| Contested in the French Superbike championship, the 2010 Top Twin Challenge will host the 848 Superbike Challenge over its seven events scheduled for 2010:

To allow French bikers to taste the joys of competition, Ducati France is therefore launching a challenge comprising seven racing weekends (two practice sessions + two rounds) run in parallel with the Top Twin Challenge on the handlebars of the salivating 848 ( read box opposite).
Already granting a 10% discount when purchasing the machine, Ducati is consolidating its offer by reducing the cost of the compulsory technical pack imposed on future participants by 25%: a complete Termignoni carbon exhaust kit and a specific rear suspension link must must be mounted to line up alongside the 16 other drivers registered for the Challenge.
Although still salty, the bill still goes from 16,324 euros to 14,268 euros for the purchase of an 848 Black – i.e. a standard 848 in a black dress – equipped with the compulsory pack and from 17,074 euros at 14 943 euros for an 848 pearl white or red (pigments visibly expensive in Italy!) Bearing the required parts for the Challenge.
The most seasoned (and the most fortunate!) Will also be able to benefit from 25% on the optional pack offered by the brand, which includes Ducati Performance track fairings, an oil drip tray and a single-seater poly rear hull..
Clever, the Italian manufacturer also allows participants to draw from the Ducati Performance catalog to improve the potential of the 134 hp twin! In addition, stickers bearing the image of the Challenge Superbike 848 and the official Ducati partner point of sale must also be affixed to the motorcycle entered..
Good news in times of crisis: Ducati is extending its endowment to Challenge 848 participants with an equipment pack consisting of a helmet, overalls, gloves, boots and a back protector. Distributed free of charge until March 31 to all purchasers of the brand’s sports cars, this pack in Ducati colors will only be available from April 2010, depending on the date of ordering the motorcycle..
Finally, 500 euros registration fees for the full Challenge and an additional 270 euros per race weekend will be requested from those interested. Admittedly, the total envelope could make more than one cough, but Ducati reveals a large carrot: at the end of the Magny-Cours round, the first four drivers in the classification will be selected to participate in the Bol d’Or. 2010 with an 848 Challenge entered by Ducati France or one of its dealers !
Among these four lucky (and gifted) elected, only three will compete in the race, the fourth being satisfied with the role of replacement driver.
