The aim of the BMW Motorrad Race Trophy is "to bring together BMW Motorrad riders from all over the world by participating in a wide range of different competitions", explains the manufacturer. Drivers can accumulate points for the BMW Motorrad Race Trophy in 15 championships in total, with competitions taking place in 19 countries and across six continents (read and our). |
Matthieu collected his points in the Brazilian Moto 1000 GP (MT1GP) championship, after which he won his second consecutive title riding his BMW S 1000 RR of Alex Barros Racing Team, prepared by BMW Motorrad Petronas Racing..
In the nine events contested in the MT1GP during the scoring period for the 2015 BMW Motorrad Race Trophy (November 17, 2014 to November 22, 2015), Matthieu Lussiana has won seven victories and twice placed second. Adding bonus points for titles, pole positions, etc., his Race Trophy total rises to 436.69 points.
“Winning a championship title or a trophy, in particular the BMW Motorrad Race Trophy in which so many drivers from all over the world participate, is always a great satisfaction,” said Matthieu: “it was really exciting because the ranking changed after each weekend of races throughout the season. The suspense was therefore at its height until the very last event and I did my best to score the maximum number of points and win this trophy. Since November 2014, I have won seven races and finished second twice. I think I managed to be both fast and consistent by being in perfect harmony with my bike. This season, I won my second title in the Brazilian Moto 1000 GP Championship with BMW ".
