Chaz Davies, 1st

"I wasn’t sure I had enough headroom to escape given the progress the Kawasaki made this morning, but we were quick enough to lead very early so I put my head in the handlebars. and I’ve seen the gap widen. Jerez has always been a tough track for me in the past so turning the tide and winning here the last couple of years is something special. I want to thank the team, they worked so hard during the summer break to improve the balance of the bike. I feel I have a much better sense of the limit now, and I am maybe in the best shape of my whole career. It happens maybe a bit too late. All we can do is finish strong and see where that takes us next season. ".

Tom Sykes, 2nd

“It was a great day for Kawasaki who won the Constructors’ Championship for the second time in a row. We’ve been working on this for a few years and with two strong riders in the squad we are coming to this. indicates the amount of effort and support they (Akashi Greens, Editor’s note) are putting into the Superbike World Championship. Finishing second today between two really strong guys isn’t too bad, but it’s not bad. ‘It’s not perfect either. Nicky Hayden, 4th

“I didn’t have a good start, but I climbed back up to fourth, gaining a few positions and making some progress thanks to a few crashes in front of me. The bike was running very well, the team had done a good job. I worked on the set-up and tried to close the gap on Jonathan Rea. Halfway through the race I started hitting the front too much so Johnny was able to pull away. tried to manage my lead over Michael and come home with fourth. Michael van den Mark, 5th

"During the Superpole, I completed a very fast lap on racing tires and then, when I put on the qualifying tire, I got a big scare. I was still happy with my time. “A solid race and a steady pace today, especially in the second half where I was catching up with the guys in front. At the start of the race I felt I was struggling a lot with the front grip, but past the halfway point. race, I managed to keep my lap times quite constant. “Honestly, I’m pretty happy with our results. Jordi Torres, 8th

“We had a good qualifying, both in the first Superpole and the second. The race then went on in warmer conditions, but I think we did well. I got off to a good start and I had a good start. tried to be more aggressive in the first few laps. I was careful seeing other riders falling, while trying to stay with Hayden who was right in front of me. After six or seven laps however, the front started to lock up and so I had to change my riding style to compensate.
