When MV-Agusta emerged from its glorious past, it was to present an exceptional sportswoman to the 21st century. A sublime silhouette, a posterior to die for, immediate prestige: the F4 was born and remains flawless. So when the Varese brand breaks into the roadster world, it only does so in one way: Brutal !
A name … much more than that: a spirit, a character, a design. This roadster is indeed the work of a master; Signore Tamburini in this case. Powerful, aggressive, biting, captivating; many qualifiers can be jostled in front of the appearance of this machine. He has the qualities to attract lust and respect today, tomorrow, in 10 years, and maybe always. Admire this headlight, whose inspiration clearly comes from the most famous of Porsches. Drool in front of those magnesium wheels. A material that is part of the identity of this ORO series. The swingarm is made with this noble element, as are the plates anchored to the trellis frame and the heavy section lower triple tree. 6 kilos are thus saved compared to a standard Brutale.
The two beveled exhaust flutes are at the same time beautiful, belligerent, and, unbelievably, sufficiently stylish to make us forget the quadruple output of the F4. In all fairness, there is nothing to throw away or change on this machine.
For an Italian, the choice of a 4-cylinder engine is almost confusing. But this boiler there, from the F4 sports car, has character to spare. It develops almost as many horsepower, but a different air box, revised camshafts and new engine management improves its filling at mid-speed. A shortened reduction ratio and a tightened 6th gear further optimize the punch.
A few carbon parts, a ‘tobacco’ colored leather saddle, aluminum disc frets, special treatment of the fork tubes (50 mm in diameter) with titanium nitride, only one color. Just enough to ensure a little more exclusivity and luxury for this simply exceptional roadster. The engine, the finish, the choice of parts, both visual and mechanical expression … everything conquers you. Except consumption and price. If its presence or its song is not enough, a gold plaque engraved with its limited series number and the name of the owner will enchant you. 300 copies only, all intended for a wealthy and demanding clientele.
