MV-Agusta again offers a special series of F3 in RC edition. After the 2015 batch, the Italian Supersport returns again in 2017 in its WSS World Championship livery. If it drives the dream in concession, it also knows how to perform on the most beautiful circuits in the world.. A certain Jules Cluzel and his lieutenant Lorenzo Zanetti offer in Supersport the most beautiful wheels and glory of this track. What could be more normal for the F3 675 (and its sister 800) than to want to wear the colors of the Reparto Corse to go out in the street.
The Meccanica Verghera Agusta is offering for the second time its F3 675 in the Reparto Corse special series, produced in only 100 units. In addition to the superb racing dress identical to that of the motorcycle engaged in WSS, this little diva is equipped with some quality parts: brake and clutch levers on pivot as well as Ergal footrests, a crutch of workshop racing, a carbon seat cowl, a specific Reparto Corse cover and a set of anodized aluminum covers to replace the mirrors when you want to tease the track. What does the 37 displayed in large numbers in the number plate locations do? It is neither that of Cluzel, nor of Zanetti … No, it is a question of the number of world titles conquered by the brand. To complete the exclusive aspect of these models, we find the signatures of each driver on the side panels. A small plate engraved with the serial number takes place on the triple tree.
Small disappointment, the machine does not present any engine or chassis improvement; unlike its cousin F4 RC, seriously amphetamine to the point of being a just approved Superbike motorcycle.
With or without this racing decoration, the F3 675 captivates with its plastic and enchants with its engine. A 3-cylinder weighing only 52 kilos, the cylinder head of which is the same size as an A4 page. Small, but very strong. The boiler can output 144 horsepower in the old special version ORO and more than 15,000 rpm. This is an absolutely superb performance for a mechanical of this type, almost equivalent to a 750 four-cylinder. The English 675 cm3 of the Triumph Daytona develops 128 nags – that gives you an idea of the work of the transalpine engine manufacturers. But on this version of series, one finds only 128 ch, that is to say a game equal with the English one. The Ride-by-wire type throttle grip induces advanced electronics and more finesse when opening the throttle. The F3 is equipped with traction control and multiple injection maps. The EAS shifter and ABS are also part of the range.
The Bosch control unit, 9MP version, is very small, very light, and is moreover disconnectable. The F3 has two modes: Normal for road use, Race for heavy use. Lattice and single-arm frame is not lacking in superb and efficiency. But to afford the beautiful, a small extension compared to the F3 675 series is necessary. Justified? It’s up to you, even if the enthusiasts have already decided.
