Fresh paint for Kawas retro motorcycles 2020

Kawasaki is introducing three new paint jobs for the retro models Z 900 RS and Z 900 RS Cafe for the 2020 model year. The new color variants will be presented for the first time on Glemseck 101.

With the KAwasaki Z 900 RS hit the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer right on target, because beautiful retro bikes have been popular for years. The RS and RS Cafe not only look pretty, they can also be moved really well and quickly, because one of the currently most successful Kawasaki models, the mid-range naked bike Z 900, serves as the basis. So there is no reason for now for technical changes. But that doesn’t mean that the retro Kawasakis have to leave everything optically the status quo.

Based on the 900 Z1 from 1974

For this reason, three new paint finishes on the design front in the 2020 model year provide a breath of fresh air. “Candytone Green” is particularly eye-catching. The model here is the 900 Z1, model Z1A, from 1974. The shade of green with the golden yellow and white accents will appeal to some classic fans and certainly also to those who didn’t even know they were.

Those who like to be more puristic on the road might prefer to look at the silver alternative, the name of which is not quite as puristic as the look: “Metallic Graphite Gray”. Black and green stripes are attached to the tank and the rear apron.

New colors can be seen on Glemseck 101

The Kawasaki Z 900 RS Cafe will be available with an even more eye-catching paint job in the 2020 model year: “Vintage Lime Green / Ebony” is what marketing means, which means something like green-white-black. Admittedly, that doesn’t sound very glamorous and does not do justice to the Cafe Racer, which successfully combines modern technology and classic optics.
