MT-07 Tracer: on the right track !

Concerning the MT-07 Tracer, it is about an all-well-done motorcycle, crossover style in automobile, designed on the basis of. An unprecedented motorcycle in line with the excellent. These variations are a logical continuation for Yamaha, which had announced its intention to use the MT-07 and MT-09 platforms on other models as soon as they were released..

Surprised by during a dynamic test in Milan (Italy), this "Baby Tracer" still in development phase – as suggested by the pieces of adhesive here and there – reveals in particular a well-integrated semi-fairing and a high screen, probably adjustable like on the MT-09 Tracer.

Visibly lengthened and undoubtedly reinforced, the rear loop accommodates suitcases and a luggage rack. Logically, the chassis, brakes and swingarm seem identical to the original version, while the suspensions should receive new, firmer settings to compensate for the inevitable weight gain (182 kg with ABS for the MT-07).

The 689 cc parallel twin is probably being continued in its functions as is. Supple, lively and full of energy despite its "only" 74.8 hp, this successful engine does not need any modifications to stick to its new functions: it is enough for that. !

MT-25: for and by Indonesia

Unveiled in early June by the Indonesian subsidiary of Yamaha (also sponsor of the MotoGP M1 since 2013 under its historic name Semakin di Depan), the MT-25 is a cute little roadster closely derived from the, now .

A direct competitor of the recent Kawasaki Z300, it uses the water-cooled twin of the R25, its tubular chassis and most of its peripherals..

Like its youngest MT-125, it exhibits a flat handlebar, a two-stage saddle, an engine guard and side scoops with a worked look..

This unique motorcycle is produced in the Indonesian factory of Yamaha and would initially only be intended for the local market.

In France, its import is not scheduled for the moment: logical insofar as the 250 and 300 cc are struggling to find their audience there and the MT-07 is already an attractive entry level at a tight price (€ 5,999 with ABS).
