According to our information, Aprilia should significantly improve its sculptural RSV4 for 2011: the Noale Hypersport would approach a distribution by cascade of pinions, while its weight would drop significantly..
Largely dominant in the Superbike world championship with Max Biaggi (373 points against 313 for its runner-up Leon Haslam), Aprilia can boast of having developed a real winning machine with its RSV4 (read our and our).
Powerful (180 hp on the production bike and probably more than 200 on the Superbike machine) and benefiting from an extremely successful chassis, the Noale ball should nevertheless experience some significant changes in 2011, according to information that Site is managed to get hold of.
The V4 (999.6 cc) of the 2011 RSV4 will likely have a cascade of sprocket distribution which should allow it to deliver a handful of additional horsepower: a logical evolution as the motorcycles of Max Biaggi and Leon Camier in the World Superbike have adopted this distribution from Salt Lake City and that a kit for the RSV4 series is already marketed by the brand !
A source "close to the matter" also revealed to us that the Italians would have managed to grab a few kilos on the next vintage (179 kg dry for the 2010 Factory and 184 for the R) which will keep the same tapered lines as the current models.
Interviewed by Site, Aprilia France officials confirmed that the RSV 4 version 2011 would receive "a number of interesting improvements" – without disclosing all the details yet..
This 2011 Aprilia RSV 4 will probably be presented at the 68th EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan (November 4-7, 2010) at the same time as the expected Tuono V4, the roadster version of Noale‘s Superbike, already surprised many times in tests in its almost finalized version in Italy … To be continued on Site: stay connected !
