News - First official photos of the MV Agusta F3 - Pre-owned MV AGUSTA

MV Agusta will present its brand new Supersport, the F3, at the next Milan Motorcycle Show. But a month and a half before the opening of EICMA, the Italian manufacturer is already making us salivate with two photos of its brand new model. Discovery.

As we know, MV Agusta is due to present its brand new Supersport: the F3 at the EICMA show in Milan next November … This is one of the most awaited novelties in 2011, and history of arousing more curiosity, the Italian brand offers us two first pictures.

As dressed with a soldering iron in their workshops as behind their keyboard at the back of their marketing-communication office, the Italians of MV Agusta (as a reminder, the Americans of Harley-Davidson dropped the case this summer, read) have just published the first two photos of their next sports car: the F3.

"Obviously", the little MV Agusta seems to be very fast: so fast that the photographers only succeeded in capturing the rear of the motorcycle! For a little, one would think that it is about a photo taken by an automatic radar … We thus discover "partially" the F3, whose design seems in line with that of the big sister F4.

However, we immediately notice a difference in the exhaust: unlike the Superbike equipped with four small outlets housed under the seat backrest (chiseled outlets on the latest model to date, read), the Italian Supersport is equipped with ‘a low and surely short exhaust, since it does not appear behind the right boot of the assayer. This in order to maintain a superb view of the rear rim, with an apparently new design..

The size of the bike looks very compact – or does the tester have a big c ..? – and the lines of the fairing are particularly refined, like the different parts that we see in these first images. Special mention also to the side stand and passenger footrest supports in raw aluminum, the best effect !

Still under the fairing, we can see a tube – certainly in steel – which illustrates MV Agusta’s choice to perpetuate the tradition: tubular trellis frame, single-sided swingarm, fluid lines and high quality equipment. We can also guess just in front of the handlebars a digital dashboard (the same as the F4?) And a bubble holder in high-tech material (magnesium, as on the Buell 1125 R?).

We can very clearly distinguish on the pictures the presence of Brembo radial calipers, and a little less clearly that of a Sachs shock absorber with separate cylinder, similar to the one found under the current F4. The front fork is naturally inverted and impressive! What to have fun on the circuit in short.

Moreover, after the disappointment of not seeing an F4 run in the World Superbike – despite a cylinder capacity revised downwards to fall below the regulatory 1000 cc … -, we hope that this F3 will mark the return of MV in competition. !

In 2008, Ducati left the Mondial Supersport, while Triumph landed with its Daytona 675. This category would allow MV Agusta to highlight its new product without having to face competition from another Italian manufacturer … The Castiglioni will launch they in the race? Response soon on Site !
