Suzuki presented this afternoon in Rome, in the legendary Cinecitta cinema studios, five new products intended for the American and European markets, unveiled last week in the United States: the 125 Sixteen scooter with 16-inch large wheels, mainly intended for the Italy, the new GSX650F, the new Hayabusa 1300, the Intruder C1800R and of course the already famous B-King.

The B-King, four models of which are currently touring French dealerships (read), will be available in dealerships from mid-August for a price comparable to that of the Hayabusa – between 13,500 and 14,000 euros -, indicates Pierre -Laurent Feriti, communication manager at Suzuki France.

Powered by the Hayabusa’s new 1340 cc, the B-King is expected to sell at "500 copies in 2007 and 1000 in 2008", specifies François Etterle, the commercial director of the manufacturer.

The 2008 Hayabusa, which has a 1340 cc engine, will be available in France from the end of September, for a price included "between 13,500 and 14,000 euros", assures Pierre-Laurent Feriti.

More surprisingly, the GSXF 650 replaces the GSXF 600 and the GSXF 750. Powered by the 650 cc of the Bandit, the new GSXF is equipped with a flat bar handlebar instead of the old bracelets. She should be available "between October 2007 and February 2008".

"It is still too early to talk about sales targets because the market is very disparate", explains Pierre-Laurent Feriti."Today in France, we sell 400 Hayabusa per year (very exactly 432 in 2006, Editor’s note). By counting on the renewal of people who had Hayabusa, we should arrive in 2008 at around 800 units sold. For the B-King, which is a first, we are counting on 1,000 units. On the other hand, we have not yet defined the import volumes for the GSX-F or for the 16-inch scooter.".

"But not all of our novelties were presented today", specifies Suzuki … Stay tuned !
