Stupor when discovering the new price list sent by Suzuki: the venerable one no longer appears in the catalog of the French subsidiary. It was an end of career without fanfare for the initiator of the medium-displacement sporty roadster genre, a real revelation of the 1995 motorcycle shows….
While we were hoping for a major overhaul or why not some stylistic adjustments to anchor it in the current strong vintage trend, Suzuki therefore opted to abandon its old bestseller, gently but surely dethroned by the Z750 in the middle 2000s.
Too bad, as this reliable and balanced motorcycle had many qualities, starting with its floor price located under the bar of 6,500 euros.
Ironically, this same price list reveals the availability (for the 3rd week of April) and the price of the (€ 6,599 in matte black, € 6,649 in blue, white or red), motorcycle alongside which the – then in 600 cc – proudly sat in Suzuki dealerships in 1999 !
Naturally, it was then the ancestor of the SV, with performances far removed from the roadster recently relaunched by the Yellow Hamamatsu! Also note the price of (4199 €), which will arrive in the network by mid-May 2016.
