Exclusive and out of the ordinary motorcycles, from Confederate Motorcycles, it’s pretty usual. But the radical American craftsman goes really far in excess with his new P51 Combat Fighter, a worthy descendant of the Combat launched in 1999 !

As usual with motorcycles from the, the look of the new P51 Combat Fighter (also called "G2", for "second generation") leaves you speechless…. 

Parallelogram front axle, huge S&S V-twin squeezed into an equally brawny chassis, 240mm rear tire, 19-inch front rim – carbon, as at the rear – all left blissful or puzzled, but certainly not indifferent !

The rear part, minimalist as possible, exhibits a very beautifully crafted inverted swing arm connected to a mono-shock absorber shifted to the left. In front of this part fashioned in aircraft-grade aluminum – like the rest of the frame – open the four exhaust outlets, housed under the engine. 

Blonde or Black ?

The single-seater saddle incorporates the rear light and is attached directly to the huge upper beam of the frame. This also serves as a fuel tank (14 liters) and also accommodates the air box. And to prove it, Confederate has installed transparent windows through which the fuel level and the air filter are visible..

It is useless, but admit that it throws a max! The same process is applied to the lower crankcases of the air-oil-cooled V-twin with a displacement of … 2163 cc. Or, in liters, a "small" 2.2 l: the equivalent of two small city cars of the Twingo type ! 

Coupled with a five-speed gearbox – which we imagine rather "manly" -, this impressive mechanism would develop a trifle of 23.54 m / kg of torque and "more than 200 hp"! What literally pull the announced 277 kg from the ground! And the ground with, at the same time…

Exclusive to the end, the P51 Combat Fighter will be built in just 61 units, all assembled by hand: 31 "Blonde" (silver) and 30 "Black" (black) versions. The price ? Delirious, like the motorcycle and Confederate habits: $ 113,900 per Blonde (around € 101,400) and $ 119,500 per Brown Black (around 106,300 €) !
