Honda completes its offering in the mid-displacement scooter category by reviving its beloved and plush Forza. Built around the 4-stroke single cylinder of the SH300i, it increases in displacement and releases a completely revised part-cycle.

Launched in 2000, the Honda Forza scooter is distinguished by its positioning at the crossroads: half-sporty, half-GT, it is intended to be versatile, comfortable and refined..

In its latest version, the Forza 250 was thus able to accommodate two helmets in its hold and was distinguished by efficient combined braking and an S-Matic transmission characterized by its ability to manually shift its "gears", like the Suzuki Burgman 650.

Withdrawn from the catalog shortly after its major redesign in 2008, the Forza rose from its ashes in 2013 as the NSS300 Forza. As the name suggests, the displacement of the Forza increases and now stands at 279 cc (previously 249 cc). Chiped from the SH300i, its engine is a liquid-cooled 4-stroke single cylinder which has received some modifications to meet its more "GT" vocation..

Thus, its cylinder 72 mm in diameter and 68.5 mm of stroke has been tilted 5 mm backwards to reduce friction, and therefore consumption. The cooling circuit, the distribution as well as the management of gas exchanges have been improved, allowing the Forza 300 vintage 2013 to claim a power of 24.34 hp (17.9 kW) at 8,250 rpm and 25.7 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm.

The final transmission is via a belt, but the centrifugal automatic clutch dispenses with the electronic gear changing device. Announced sober (3.2L / 100 km, or about 354 km of autonomy with the 11.6 liters of the tank), the NSS300 Forza receives a new frame in steel tubes which would be 10% lighter than the previous element thanks to the use of a rigid part and another more flexible.

Camped on 14 (front) and 13 inch (rear) rims, it weighs 194 kg in running order with the combined "rear-front" ABS installed as standard for the French market (just a combined braking in other countries). As on the previous model, its hold can accommodate two full-face helmets, while the passenger benefits from retractable footrests and a grab handle.

On the practical side, the Forza 300’s apron houses two storage compartments, one of which can be locked and has a 12V socket. Its instrumentation does not overbid but does not forget the essential: there is the speed, a watch, two partial trips, the engine temperature and the fuel level. Finally, it is equipped with a side stand and a coded key HISS (Honda Ignition Security System).

Its relatively contained dimensions (2166 long, 580 mm wide and 716 mm seat height) should benefit urban developments, while its more angular lines and visually flawless finish will undoubtedly turn many heads..

Asked by Site during the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Honda France was unable to give us the price of this new NSS300 Forza 2013 which will arrive in dealerships from April 2013.
