[Visio-interview 3/3] Endurance and Mathieu Gines: at full speed !

And even if the disappointments in the paddocks can be even more spectacular: our interlocutor saw his participation in the last 24 Hours of Le Mans canceled, the day before the race, after qualifying. !

In these conditions, it is difficult to establish large programs that closely combine speed and endurance. Impossible in any case according to Mathieu Gines who raced the 2020 Estoril final for the ERC team, on a Panigale V4 which reminded him of his 250 Grand Prix.

For 2021, the n ° 41 – but double "Number One" of the French Superbike championship – sets the priority on his project "Yamalube Michelin Tech Solutions" in FSBK … But he does not despair of winning his first 24 hour event ! However, he no longer makes a fixation: this victory will have to happen naturally, by integrating a top team.

According to our interlocutor, the ridden machine matters less than the shod tires, because within this multi-brand championship – like the FSBK, while WorldSBK and MotoGP have unique suppliers – the strategies of the manufacturers diverge.
