Which motorcycles for less than 7,622.45 euros (50,000 francs) ?

Practical guides - Which motorcycles for less than 7,622.45 euros (50,000 francs)? - All Yamaha motorcycles below 50,000 francs (€ 7,622.45)

Since 2002, the euro has upset our benchmarks and encouraged price increases… However, with the crisis, measuring the value of its purchases has nevertheless become essential: MNC lists all motorcycles below the 50,000 FF mark, or 7622.45 €! Purchase guide.

All Yamaha motorcycles under 50,000 francs (€ 7,622.45)

XJ6 N (6,499 € or 42,630.65 francs) and XJ6 S (6,799 € or 44,598.52 francs)

Brilliant update of the placid Diversion, the XJ6 achieves a very good start to its career which allows Yamaha to relaunch itself in the coveted segment of entry-level motorcycles.

An almost reductive qualifier for this roadster powered by a four-cylinder engine developing 78 hp, so much its line and its general quality of manufacture neat are far from suggesting a motorcycle at the discount! A little smooth at mid-range (59.7 Nm of torque), the XJ6 then offers even more sustained acceleration as the gear ratio is deliberately short and the sound delivered by its elegant silencer in the low position flatters the ears. !

Accessible (785 mm saddle height, distance from the adjustable handlebars) and light (205 kg fully loaded and 211 kg for the XJ6 S equipped with a semi fairing and a central stand), the XJ6 shines with its maneuverability, the delightful sharpness of its front axle and the efficient "sport-comfort" compromise offered by its suspensions and its Diamond-type frame (read our).

Its future buyers will undoubtedly deplore a somewhat reluctant gearbox and the lack of space under the saddle, but they will appreciate the comfortable autonomy provided by its measured appetite and its 17.3-liter tank, the presence of a gauge gasoline, a coded key and a well calibrated ABS supporting a sufficiently powerful braking device (€ 6,899 or 45,254.47 francs for the XJ6 N ABS and € 7,199 or 47,222.34 francs for the XJ6 S ABS).

XJ6 Diversion F (€ 7,099 or CHF 46,566.39)

The latest addition to the "XJ6" range (read our), the XJ6 Diversion F represents the most road version of the three Diversions: decked out with an integral fairing nicely tuned to the incisive lines of the XJ6, the "Div ‘F" plays the same Sport-GT partition as the Suzuki GSX650F.

Thinner and significantly less heavy than the latter (217 kg all full and 222 kg with ABS) but less expressive on intermediate speeds, the Yamaha successfully renews its chassis qualities, despite the overweight due to a racy fairing to the degree of perfectible protection. The ABS option, almost essential in view of the philosophy of the machine, results in an inflation of 400 €.

XTX 660 (5,799 € or 38,038.95 francs)

Riding on its rich past in the single-cylinder segment, Yamaha unveils its interpretation of the modern "gromono" in 2004: the trail XTR660 (now withdrawn from the French catalog) and the urban supermoto XTX 660 (read our).

Heavy for a single-cylinder (189 kg dry), the XTX is nothing like the sharp supermoto from Austria, Sweden or Italy: its soft suspensions mark time in sporty driving and its 48 hp provide lively acceleration if not really exhilarating.

However, the Yamaha has significant assets for those who appreciate the specificities of the genre (upright position and wide handlebars providing a significant leverage, torque present from low revs, improvisation skills), without having to suffer its counterparts (comfort more than spartan, reduced fields of action and requirements in terms of piloting capacities).

Thanks to its well-built engine, its soft gearbox, its almost comfortable seat and its windshield sufficient to hold out on the motorway, the XTX is indeed much more frequent than a "pure juice" Supermot and constitutes an alternative. more fun than some entry-level roadsters. Still, its price is still too close to these same multicylinder roadsters…

Details. Our readers will have noted the absence of several Yamaha yet located below the 50,000 franc mark: MT-03 (5,999 € or 39,350.86 francs), FZ6 S2 N (7,299 € or 47,878.30 francs ), FZ6 S2 Fazer (6,999 € or 40,859.56 francs) and XTZ 660 Tenere (7,399 € or 48,534.26 francs).

The reason for these omissions is actually due to the conditions for admitting the models in this practical guide: for the sake of readability, we have decided to present only 2010 vintages, which allows a certain fairness to be observed since not all manufacturers can (or want) to keep vintages prior to the catalog.

However, only stocks of MT-03 2009, FZ6 2008 and 2009 and XTZ 660 Tenere 2008 and 2009 (read our) are currently available in Yamaha dealerships. A nuance of size when considering their prices, undoubtedly dictated by the success of esteem of the two single cylinders and the arrival at the end of life of the FZ6 range.

Although Yamaha Motor France has not been able to confirm this to us, it is indeed a safe bet that the efficient FZ6 (read our) gives way to the highly anticipated FZ8 (read), which would allow the brand to offer an accessible entry level (the XJ6) and a more powerful roadster with a more sporty temperament (the FZ8).
