French electric three-wheeler: Eccity has found its way
The small brand of electric scooters Eccity, based in Grasse (06), made a jump to the EICMA show in Milan to present its two-wheel "equivalent" 50 cc and 125 cc … It also unveiled a three-wheeler which should be marketed next summer. On the way ?
Created in 2011 and specialized in electric scooters, the Eccity brand went to the EICMA 2017 show in Milan to exhibit the new versions of its eponymous machines: Eccity 50 (electric motor of 4 kW, 45 km / h max, range of 120 km according to WTMC), Eccity 125 (6 kW, 100 km / h, 115 km) and Eccity 125+ (8 kW, 120 km / h, 109 km).

Products proudly "made in France" which benefit from improvements for 2018: "revised dashboard, new more ergonomic controls, enhanced comfort and maximum safety thanks to combined braking", tells us the small manufacturer from Grasse (Alpes-Maritimes).
But this is another event that captured Site’s attention: "the presentation of the brand’s latest prototype, a revolutionary three-wheeled scooter with two wheels at the rear" … and not at the before, as is the case on the popular Piaggio MP3 and Peugeot Metropolis !
"The Eccity three-wheeled scooter, currently at the prototype stage, will make it possible to navigate easily in dense traffic while feeling safe and always without polluting emissions", adds Eccity who, on this last point, intends to ride on the success of the BMW C Evolution…

The designers are already counting on a range of 100 km, a maximum speed of 120 km / h, a braking distance reduced by 20% compared to their 2-wheeler and angles of 37 ° thanks to the rear kinematics patented by them.
"On the handling side, the narrow width of the rear axle, aligned with the distance between the mirrors, gives the driver the same flexibility as a two-wheeler," guarantee the Grasse. For its part, MNC advises future users not to turn too short … Owners of "Trikes" will undoubtedly approve !
Expected on the French market from next summer – at their place ?! – but already in pre-order on the official website, "this new vehicle is intended for urban and peri-urban individuals", announces Eccity.
Finally, the inhabitants of Grasse intend to cast a wider net thanks to "a cargo version which will also be developed for delivery professionals", and. Good deals to follow? MNC will keep you posted…
