Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber Sport (2019)

Guzzi single-seater with dragbar handlebars

The V9 series is expanded to include the Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber Sport. It scores with an even more beefy look and a technical upgrade with Ohlins struts.

Flat handlebars, active seating position, agile handling: M.oto Guzzi had already designed the Bobber when the V9 series was launched in spring 2016 as a sporty model compared to the tourist Roamer. Which has since been confirmed by all MOTORRAD tests, despite the broad-shouldered balloon tires, which at first glance do not necessarily look as if they enable a brisk driving style, but still do it. This is not least due to the Conti tires, which also stick well on wet roads, and the two-stage traction control, which offers additional safety. With the Bobber, even beginners get a clean line, especially since the steering angle is huge.

Solo seat and Ohlins struts

Now the Italians are going one step further with the V9 Bobber Sport variant. To upgrade them, Moto Guzzi uses the in-house range of accessories and has given a lower mono seat bench to make the seating position even more active. A dragbar handlebar with shorter risers should provide more feeling and better feedback.

There are also black slip-on mufflers, pretty bellows on the fork, an orange-colored paintwork and, last but not least, adjustable Ohlins shock absorbers – these are very welcome, because with the standard shock absorbers, bumps and cross joints often hit the spine.

V2 with 55 PS and 62 Nm

The shortened front mudguard, which puts the fat 130 mm front tire even more in the spotlight, further enhances the Bobber Sport look. The sturdy, revving V2 engine with 55 hp and 62 Nm and the well-coordinated braking system remain unchanged.

The Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber Sports is expected to hit the market in October, but the price is not yet known. It was made as part of the "Open house", so the day of the open house", which took place from September 7th to 9th at the Guzzi factory in Mandello del Lario.
