Ultraviolet F77
Electric motorcycle from India
The Indian startup Ultraviolette Automotive dreams of revolutionizing traffic in big cities. The first project is the Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle, which started as a 12 Concept in 2018 and has now been presented in India.
D.he Ultraviolette F77 is to be launched in the segment of bikes with a displacement of around 250 cm³. Your electric motor has an output of 25 kW and 90 Nm torque. The 158 kilogram heavy F77 should create the sprint from zero to 100 km / h in just over three seconds. The top speed is limited to 150 km / h. The electric motor is embedded in a steel tubular frame with a directly hinged central spring strut at the rear.

The rear wheel is guided by a light metal twin-arm swing arm with upper cables. A USD fork is used at the front. The final drive takes place via a conventional chain. A regenerative braking system should recover energy. The pilot has three driving modes (Insane, Sport and Eco) to choose from. Of course, the F77 can also be fully networked. The digital TFT cockpit also has a USB socket.

The lithium-ion battery pack, which consists of three modules, has a capacity of 4.2 kWh and should enable a range of 130 to 150 kilometers. The charging time varies between 1.5 and 5 hours depending on the charging current. One brake disc per wheel is used for deceleration. At the front, the Indians rely on a 320 disc and four-piston pliers, and at the rear on a 230 disc and single-piston pliers. The 17-inch rims are fitted with 110/70 tires at the front and 150/60 at the rear.
Can be pre-ordered now
Visually, the F77 shows itself as a sporty naked bike with fully wired flanks, low handlebar stubs, fully covered fork and rudimentary seat. Overall, the ultraviolet F77 is strongly reminiscent of current Kawasaki Z models.

The Ultraviolet 12 Concept is very sporty.
The company is financially supported by the Indian motorcycle manufacturer TVS, which has invested around 14% in the project. TVS is, among other things, BMW’s production partner for the G 310 series. The F77 can now be pre-ordered in India. However, no price was named.
