BMW has added retro-style jet helmets to its range. The helmet manufacturer Hedon has now announced a corresponding partnership.

The London-based helmet manufacturer Hedon made its future collaboration with BMW public in a Facebook post. The multi-year deal with Bayern is to include the delivery of various premium open face helmets. The design of the jet helmets specially made for BMW should be based on the legendary BMW colors. With the open helmets in retro style, the partners want to appeal primarily to buyers of custom and classic models.
BMW prices start at 370 euros
The new helmet offers are currently being rolled out through the European dealer network. Hedon also speaks of expanding business to the USA, the Far East and South America. When asked, BMW makes it clear that the helmets will be offered successively around the world, but not in the USA.
The open face helmets manufactured by Hedon and offered by BMW as a bowler are certified according to ECE 22.05. The helmet shells are made in four sizes from a carbon-fiberglass mix. The weight should be only 785 grams (small helmet shell). The chin straps are fixed with a double D-ring. The inner linings are made from a mix of breathable material and leather. The prices at Hedon in the online shop start at around 350 euros. At BMW, the Bowler helmet is available in the Decor Classic version at prices from 540 euros. The Tricolore and R nine T decors are also priced at 540 euros. In the black matt color, 370 euros are required, for the dark blue metallic version 440 euros.
The BMW Helmet Bowler is available in sizes from 53/54 to 62 (XS – 2XL). Sunshades, leather face masks and various visors are offered as accessories.
