72nd Rallye de l’Ain: Objectif Moon !
By winning this 72nd Rallye de l’Ain, Maxime Olivieri takes the lead in the championship but the battle was tough between Maximus and Pierre Mouneu, Team Site driver, who almost won this event trusted by the Monos… Story !
Come on, let’s roll !
It is known: whether it is organized at any time of the year, the Rallye de l’Ain traditionally suffers from terrible weather … But given the omnipresent sun for several days, we believe it and it’s all good for recce !
This year, the 140 pilots of the Rallye de l’Ain 2009 meet in Cerdon, a village renowned for its sparkling rose wine…

Maxime Olivieri on the handlebars of his KTM 690 SM feels rather good on the special 1 in Preau: long (4 km) and technical, with its coating with random grip, it is a playground more suitable for single cylinders. Special 2, Nebois, is very fast: with a very catchy surface and large clean curves, it is a sporting special shorter than the first (2.3 km)..
The road course is still as splendid as in previous years but quite complex: different loops almost at each lap (306 km for stage 1 with two passages in each special and 280 km for the 2 which will be split into two parts: one passage by day in special 1 and one passage by special at night). In short: everyone is praying that Saint-Flechage will be with us !
Since Wednesday, a summer sun accompanies the reconnaissance: general good humor among the pilots and the usual holiday taste! We are still expecting a good and pleasant ride, but everything will change the night before the start of the rally: heavy showers are a spoiler…
