Road rallies - implacable Manoel Delaval at the 52nd Rallye de la Sarthe - La Sarthe by Night!

By monopolizing the two stages day and night, the Buell Manoel Delaval driver of the Central Team wins the 2009 edition of the Sarthe rally. A well-deserved victory after a hot fight with Thomas Garcin throughout the event: report !

La Sarthe by Night !

It is 8:30 p.m. when the first pilots set off from La Suze-sur-Sarthe for this unique night loop.

We start with the two laps launched on the White House circuit. The track is rather … wet (the opposite of drying!) And even if Bruno Schiltz scores again the best time with his BMW 1200 HP2 in front of Thomas Garcin’s Moto Morini 1200 Corsaro, he is the freelance driver and manager of the Team Site Marc Troussard himself who gets the third fastest time on the handlebars of his KTM 690 SMC "Louit Moto" !

Then, the same link (quite technical and absolutely magnificent!) As in the daytime stage to reach Amne-en-Champagne.

Manoel Delaval wins again this last special now downright wet with an incredible time of 1’34.038, almost 4 seconds ahead of Thomas Garcin (1’37.737) and Thomas Da Silva of the CMPN on KTM 690 SMC, first Mono in 1’38.834, followed at 5th tenth by the first Laur / Ferrieu sidecar on Choda 1300 GSXR (1’39”328). Nicolas Derrien wears his KTM 690 SMR in 5th place in 1’40.461.

We return quietly to La Suze without going back through Chauffour, rather early for a night stage, since the first ones finish the rally shortly after 11 p.m. … This leaves time to relax !
