Tunisia welcomes first Tunisian Moto Tour as symbol of peace

The Tunisian Ministry of Tourism hosted Thursday in Tunis the launch conference of the first Tunisian Moto Tour, the sporting and touristic little brother of the Dark Dog Moto Tour, which will crisscross the north of the country from May 1 to 6… Presentation.

Full program of the Tunisian Moto Tour

Thursday May 1

• Departure from the port of Marseille at midday

• Administrative checks during the crossing

Friday May 2

• Arrival in Tunis at the port of La Goulette at mid-day

• Customs clearance, technical checks in the parking lot in front of the port and delivery of the day’s road-book

• Parade on Avenue Bourguiba where the departure CH is located

• Stage Tunis / Tunis (100 km) with two specials including one in town on the Belvedère circuit, on the heights of Tunis, which hosted the historic Grand Prix (below).

• A surprise timed event

• Return to the Hotel Carthage Thalasso Resort

Saturday May 3: Tunis / Tunis stage (400 km, 4 specials)

• First departure at 6 a.m.

• 3 specials in the morning

• One hour couscous lunch break at Jbel Bargou’s school

• A special at the start of the afternoon

• Return to the Hotel Carthage Thalasso Resort from 2:30 p.m.

Sunday May 4: Tunis / Tabarka stage (400 km, 3 specials)

• First departure at 8 a.m.

• A special in the morning

• One hour Tunisian lunch break at the foot of the ruins of Dougga

• 2 specials at the start of the afternoon

• Arrival at the Dar Ismail hotel in Tabarka from 3.15 p.m.

Monday May 5: Tabarka / Tunis stage (350 km, 2 specials)

• First departure at 8 a.m.

• A special in the morning

• One hour barbecue lunch break on the connecting route

• CH arrival and mint tea break in Sidi Bou Saïd, at the foot of the Cafe des Delices (above)

• Return to the Carthage Thalasso Resort hotel

• Prize giving at the hotel

Tuesday May 6

• Departure from Port de la Goulette in Tunis around 1:00 p.m.

Wednesday May 7

• Arrival in Marseille in the morning
