Tribute to the 1949 Bullet

With the Bullet Trials Works Replica, Royal Enfield is launching a new special model in two engines that is intended to honor the Bullet from 1949.

With the new special model, the Royal Entfield developers were inspired by the Trial Bullet from 1949, with which Johnny Brittain achieved numerous victories, for example in the International Six Days Trial. They will be available in two different versions, which differ in terms of the engine. There will be a variant with 498 cm³ and one with 346 cm³. Two color variations are also available. R.oyal Enfield equips the Trial with tires with a block profile, which should have a positive effect on grip. The handlebars have also been reinforced. In addition, the special model is a single-seater.

500 also available in Germany

The air-cooled single-cylinder engine of the 350 is supposed to produce just under 20 hp at 5,250 rpm. The 500 has 27 hp at 5,250 rpm. With a tank almost full (90 percent full), the 350 weighs 187 kilograms. The 500 is a little heavier at 192 kilograms. The two special models therefore don’t have much in common with today’s trial motorcycles. The main area of application of the two bullets is likely to be on asphalt roads and in easy terrain anyway.
