Developments and new colors on 2019 BMW motorcycles and scooters
As every summer, BMW reveals the new colors of its motorcycles and scooters for the coming year. The German manufacturer is also taking the opportunity to make minor changes to most of its 2019 models….
First improvement common to almost the entire range: a new automatic turn signal extinguishing system, which takes into account the speed of the vehicle (distance or time delay fixed previously). Another development: the update of the application / GPS "BMW Motorrad Connected", offered as an option on certain high-end motorcycles.
- New in 2015 : The dynamic brake light from BMW
In detail, the entire Nine T range as well as the F750GS and F850GS now benefit as standard from the "Dynamic" brake light system, which causes the brake light to flash more or less intensely depending on the braking force. The K1600 family also receives the hill start assist as standard, optional in 2018.
In addition, the accessibility of the bagger K1600B and the K1600 Grand America is improved by means of a saddle lowered from 780 to 750 mm. The Grand America also unveils new additional speakers … as an option.
The sporty S1000RR inaugurates a lighter lithium-ion battery (- 2 kg) and more resistant. But also more expensive, since it is offered as an option on the Superbike across the Rhine! Finally, the blind spot detection system of the C650GT scooter can now be deactivated on the dashboard.
Note that one of the emblematic motorcycles of the brand with the propeller is not affected by these evolutions and new colors: the road R1200RT. What to predict without taking too much risk the unveiling of a revamped version next fall on the catwalks of the shows !
