“Solid” was formerly called NXT and was known to us for their study Rage. Why this has changed is not documented, as well as concrete data about the new Solid. Only two output sizes are known from the lettering on the lavish battery casing: 100 volts and 21.5 kWh. At 100 volts operating voltage, we are in the high-voltage range, but without specifying the current strength, this does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about the maximum output. The capacity of 21.5 kWh allows a comparison with known e-motorcycles. The high-tech cars from Energica have the same gross capacity. Zero feeds the motors from up to 17.7 kWh and LiveWire gives the One 15.5 kWh. This would place the Solid in the top group, which, apart from the looks, should be reflected in the weight of the CRS 01.

Thin facts

The facts at Solid have so far been more than thin. There are only a few photos and the offer to register for a test drive. Unlike NXT, one of the motorcycles cannot be ordered directly against a down payment.

The tendency for people everywhere to deal with electromobility on two wheels is welcome and a disruptive start-up mentality is putting pressure on the topic. So we wish the companies every success and we wish the start-ups really become companies and not just tinker from one financing round to the next.
