Smartphone mounts for motorbikes are a dime a dozen. Some solutions shine with innovative and high-quality systems, while others disappoint across the board. The solution from SP-Connect could belong to the first class. At least the promised functions seem well thought out. The so-called Moto Bundle consists of a bracket that is attached to the handlebars of the motorcycle and a protective cover. There are notches on the back of the protective cover through which the smartphone can be attached to the bracket on the handlebar. In order to attach the smartphone, the smartphone cover and, of course, the device sitting in it just have to be placed on the holder and turned clockwise by 90 degrees. The smartphone is unlocked again by rotating it in the opposite direction.

“Weather Cover” should protect against rain

All connections and buttons can be used despite the protective cover. Inductive charging should also continue to be possible despite the protective cover. If you want to protect your smartphone against rain and dirt, you can use a so-called “Weather Cover” To fall back on. This should also protect the front of the smartphone completely. However, the usability with gloves can be made worse by the protective cover for the display, according to the manufacturer.

The SP-Connect mounting system is in “Moto Bundle” to have from 79.99 euros.

All components can also be purchased individually. Various design variants are also offered. For example, Ducati fans can use a protective cover with Ducati branding. In addition to a bracket for the handlebar, there is also a bracket for the mirrors. In the so-called Moto Bundle, the SP-Connect solution costs between 79.99 euros and 99.99 euros. If you want to do without the protective cover, you can also use a solution with an adhesive device for 19.99 euros, with which the smartphone and the holder can be connected to one another. The bracket, which is available in different versions, must, however, also be purchased here.

The Moto Bundle is available for the iPhone models XS, X, XS Max, XR, 8, 8+, 7, 7+, 6S, 6S +, 6, 6+, SE, 5S and 5. For Samsung devices, the models S10, S10 +, S10e, Note9, S9, S9 +, S8, S8 +, S7 and S7 Edge are supported. In addition, owners of the two Huawei smartphones Mate20 Pro and P20 Pro can also access the Moto Bundle from SP-Connect.
