Luc Noël passed away this summer
The pilot Luc Noël was killed on the Ledenon circuit on August 6, following a fall during the 5th round of the Challenge Protwin.
It is with great sorrow that the Protwin challenge announced this summer "the departure of Luc Noël for the pilots’ paradise, where he will be able to arouse in peace".
After discovering the track in 2001, Luc chooses a Muz for his mount in 2002 and 2003. In 2004, he "finally" meets the twin, which succeeds him rather well since he finishes 10th in the Challenge Protwin, 1st in the 600 miles of the Grappe d’Or and 19th at the Bol d’Or (10th in Superproduction category).
In 2005, he ranked 1st in the Twin category at the French Endurance Championship, 13th in Protwin and 17th in the Bol d’Or (read).
This year, riding his RSV1000 in Challenge Protwin, he was ranked 8th thanks to a nice 3rd place obtained in Carole and despite his absence from the first two events..
Unfortunately, his fall on Sunday August 6 in Ledenon, just before the descent of the bridge and while he was in third position behind Stephane Molinier and Thierry Mulot, was fatal to him … Evacuated by helicopter, Luc died shortly after of the consequences of his injuries.
"An active member of Protwin, he led the General Assembly in November 2005 and coached aspiring pilots during the celebration of 20 years at Le Vigeant in July", recalls Isabelle Harinquet of Challenge Protwin.
