Following in the wake of its destroyer, the Suzuki armada continues its offensive with its new fighter: the 2006 GSX-R 600. Taking up the stylistic inspiration of the 1000, the small GSX-R draws even more these futuristic features to achieve a machine even more “fast interceptor”, even more speed, even more chrono devourer. With its stretched forced air intake gills, multi-vented fairing and more tapered rear shell, it looks like a GEX 1000 breaking the sound barrier, its profile distorted by speed. With its rims painted in the dominant color, the Suz brings the essential tuning touch to get noticed. Technicians will be more occupied with the rear of the machine. By the swingarm already: a huge piece that seems designed to withstand the onslaught of 200 nags. There will not be as much to collect with the boiler which should nevertheless develop in the 130 horses. This is now the threshold imposed by the recent ZX-636 R and that the new R6 will certainly be confirmed (or exploded). Just behind the pilot’s boot, we discover a short exhaust even more unique than that of the big sister. Thoughts of Mondial Supersport invade the mind when we discover the new profile of the frame, the air box which eats the tank as on the R1 or the MV-Agusta F4 1000 Tamburini (it will be damn well stuffed the air box ), the inverted fork with radial calipers (impossible to do without it today), this surface-to-surface missile profile … The minimum weight of 161 kg, combined with a power almost equal to that of a 750, and reinforced by uncompromising aerodynamics (as on the 1000, the indicators are integrated into the mirrors and the rear shell), should take the GSX-R 600 on an uncompromising hunt for competitors. It is true that with an almost identical sis 750 with a lot of watts and a big sister who debunks everything in Endurance and Superbike, the GSX-R 600 can be inflated with pride..
