Suzuki DL 650 V-STROM XT 2015

Does the V-strom 650 ring a bell!?! Suzuki’s Swiss Army Knife Trail, easy, versatile, rather discreet, and which obviously begins to get stuck between the road and the buildings. His friends, like the Tiger 800 XC or the BMW F 800 GS Adventure, do not hesitate to defend the paces of adventurer. Why not him, a distant descendant of DRs and motorcycles that crossed many terrains ?

Well, no question of procrastinating. Sneakers and kindness, it goes by the wayside. The 650 V-Strom robs the trekking radius (especially in the armored version of accessories on the photo) and announces itself in its adventurer version, the XT – Nothing to do with Yamaha’s glorious mono trail. The mind sails towards the horizon and suddenly the face changes. The grafting of a “duckbill” makes it much more vindictive. It’s not much, but it can drastically change the impression you give when you are discovered. And that’s the case !
Obviously, out of the question to go on an adventure with sticks in the wheels. The V-Strom 650 XT therefore wears spoked rims that accept tubeless tires. ABS is standard but to really enjoy yourself, you have to go through the options box, and the XT then takes on its full dimension: side guards tubular, aluminum grand raid type luggage kit, screen with deflector, engine guard, additional headlight and pair of hand guards.

The healthy chassis and the excellent 645cc twin will do the job that awaits them. On a daily basis, the crew will appreciate the adjustable saddle, the easily accessible shock absorber preload wheel, and the ease of handling the V-Strom. With 69 horsepower, the twin may be a bit tight if we load the XT to the brim – an evo 800 from the Suz block would be studied by Hamamatsu. Still in the context of inflation, some would have appreciated a few extra liters in the tank; the 20 liters are sufficient, but more buckets, it strengthens the spirit to go further. Last asset, Suzuki’s pricing policy. We should touch the 650 V-Strom XT full options at the price of almost naked competitors. To confirm…
