Suzuki DR 650 SE 2003

Menus

The concept trail evolves, transforms, enriches itself, at the risk of losing its original spirit. Whether road, GT or enduro, the fact remains that fewer and fewer of them are defending the principle of the simple and versatile big trail. Like the 600 XT, the Suzuki DR 650 continues to keep the flame alive, and in a very nice way. Flattering by its lightness and agility, this mono trail seduces as much as it delights. With its long travel suspensions (which can be lowered to reduce the saddle height), the machine can very well venture on rough roads. We appreciate the powerful braking but not too aggressive. The motor is efficient and does not vibrate too much. Nothing prevents you from venturing out on the road provided you are reasonable. Very limited protection, small saddle not very soft, reduced autonomy – Better to live not very far from the sea if you want to go there. If we smile when we see the presence of a standard luggage rack, will we forgive the absence of a tachometer? Let’s be a good player. For a contained budget, the DR 650 offers us the dapper and joviality of a trail that is at the same time simple, playful and modern. Too bad the competition does not pay more attention to this niche. So much the better for Suzuki who plays it well placed with this bike, one of the best of its kind..
