SWM Gran Milano Outlaw special model

SWM Gran Milano Outlaw

Special model in scrambler look

The Italian manufacturer SWM has built the special Outlaw model based on the SWM Gran Milano. As an outlaw, the cafe racer turns into a scrambler.

Tea S.WM Gran Milano comes from Shineray in China, but is also assembled in Italy with European parts. In Italy, the technicians also took care of the further development of the Gran Milano into an Outlaw and thus the transformation from a cafe racer to a scrambler.

Technology unchanged, optics adjusted

In order to achieve a more upright sitting position, the steering stub was replaced by a wide tubular handlebar. New holders for the round headlights have small LED indicators. Two analog round instruments became a digital instrument. The newly formed sheet metal tank now looks more rounded and has significantly larger indentations. This is followed by a quilted two-seater bench and a new, round taillight. The side covers have also been adapted. A footrest system for the pillion passenger was also added.

The wire spoke wheels are fitted with coarse tires.

In order to match the typical scrambler look, the exhaust system flows into two raised rear silencers on the right. The unchanged 17-inch wire-spoke wheels were fitted with coarse-tread Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires. And in order to actually survive off the road, new, fully adjustable struts were installed at the rear. The fork received a modified set-up. The 445 cm³, air-cooled single-cylinder, which continues to generate 30 hp and 36 Nm of torque, remained untouched. Only the final translation of the dry 145 kg heavy SWM Gran Milano Outlaw was adjusted. The Outlaw should come for the 2019 model year. Prices have not yet been announced. Just under 6,000 euros should be realistic.
