Limited special model for the anniversary

Ducati has introduced a new special model called Ducati Panigale V4 25 Anniversario 916, which will be available in a limited number. There will only be 500 copies in total.

The special model was made in honor of the legendary D.ucati 916 is put on the wheels, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. It was presented live to a select audience on Friday (July 12th) in the presence of Carl Fogarty in Pebble Beach, California.

Only 500 copies of the Ducati Panigale V4 25 Anniversario 916 will be built. Each copy has its own serial number, which is visible on the upper triple clamp. In addition, Ducati has given the special model its own paintwork, which is based on the design of the Superbike World Cup bikes of the 1999 season, and some exclusive racing components. Technically, the special model is largely based on the Panigale V4 S. Some elements from the Panigale V4 R were also installed. Also included is a dry clutch, which is intended to provide a better driving experience, especially on the racetrack, and other fine electronic components such as an improved Quick-Shifter (Ducati Quick Shift Evo 2) and predictive traction control (Ducati DTC Evo 2 ).

The magnesium rims come from Marchesini Racing and are one kilogram lighter than the standard equipment of the V4 S. The titanium exhaust system from Akrapovic also ensures a weight reduction of 0.5 kilograms. In addition, a lot of components were made of carbon fiber and aluminum. Ducati also supplies a number of accessories such as a brake lever protector, the Ducati Data Analyzer Kit, an open carbon fiber clutch cover, an engine cover, an aluminum racing fuel tank cap and aluminum covers for removed mirrors and the license plate holder. Stickers with the Shell and Foggy logos, which were also seen on the works bikes in the 1999 season, are also supplied. By the way, Ducati has not yet mentioned how much the special model will cost.

SBK World Cup bikes in Laguna Seca with special paintwork

The Aruba Racing Team will also be sending its two bikes out on the track at the Superbike World Championship next weekend in a paint scheme based on the special model. The two upcoming races of the SBK World Championship will take place in Laguna Seca.
