The Speed Triple, it really has a bad face. A straightforward roadster that doesn’t cut corners. It’s aggressive at will, it even bothers. Whether one is terrified or under the spell, impossible to remain impassive in front of such a beast. And under this aspect of scoundrel hides neither more nor less than the Daytona, the sportswoman of Triumph. The sport of Hinckley having been deeply revised recently, the Triple benefits from the technological evolution of its cousin. The engine climbs to 120 hp (10 won) thanks to the new mechanical base and a new exhaust manifold. The mill is more compact, the gearbox new, and on the part-cycle side, there is something to make the machine even more lively: a shorter wheelbase of 11 mm, 7 kg less on the beast, more ground clearance due to a raised rear, the (lighter) rims of the TT 600, a new dashboard, and for observers, slight restyling of the double lens, the seat cover and the tank (+ 3 liters of capacity). Stripped of its fairing and grafted with a double lens with a devastating look, the hypersport turns into a hell of a roadster with character. And that, she does not miss it! The 3-cylinder English injection is sufficiently flexible but above all particularly vigorous. Forget the tea and butter atmosphere – it’s leather, rock, and watts! Take him around the towers to pick up the red zone, he loves it. The ardor is held without problems with the tubular frame, with the design so particular to Triumph. We also happily find the single-sided arm of the T 595 and its magnificent rim. Braking is excellent, except from the rear – a disaster. It will also be necessary to invest in physiotherapy sessions because the suspensions are really hard. Did you want a real machine with a devilish temperament? You will be served. Not to spoil anything, the bike holds the road like a true sportswoman with this surplus of agility thanks to the raised handlebars. A very endearing thug bike totally unreasonable. Who would want to be with such a machine ?
