Triumph Bonneville Hyde Harrier SE 2009

The Bonneville, one of Triumph’s most iconic models, celebrates its 50th anniversary next year. Hinckley is also releasing a 50th Anniversary limited series using the colors of the 1st version from 1959.
In preparation workshops across the Atlantic, we went much further to celebrate a very special edition of the Bonneville: the Hyde Harrier from 1987. A pure juice cafe racer with crazy charm, a stripped-down style, a racehorse style from the London terraces.

Norman Hyde and Harris Performance workshops worked for 15 months to re-release this Bonneville, with today’s technology and special parts. The result is superb, extraordinarily close to the original from the late 80s. Technically, it’s more imposing. The twin cube now 865 cm3, the suspensions are signed Ohlins, the brakes are radial, from AP Racing, the rims are forged, polished and are no longer with spokes but with sticks, and have fun observing more closely …. What do you say about these braided hoses conveying engine fluids? What about these aluminum parts? And its huge headlights ready to swallow you up at night ?

But this creation is also flexible to your wishes, because it is offered in the form of a kit to assemble. You take your Bonnie, crack a check for 3,995 pounds sterling (just under 5,000 euros), and you have all the pieces to create your own English cafe-racer. In addition to the elements previously mentioned, you will also have the footrest plates, the tank, the fairing, the headlights, the swingarm, the rear shell, the carbon mudguard, the 2 hand-made stainless steel pots, an apprentice electrician’s dashboard, and the rear stand to hold everything together. When we see this creation, we tell ourselves that Triumph could have gone much further with its Thruxton ….
