Triumph 675 STREET TRIPLE R 2012

Menus

The big Speed gets a makeover, the little Street follows suit…. It is therefore logical that the Street Triple R cleans itself in turn; or rather adopt the new look of the Hinckley Street-fighters. A double lens with ramshackle eyes, more stylish, but confusing and hard to accept for purists.

A slight series of cosmetic changes do not upset the profile of the Englishwoman: graphite-colored toe clips, satin finish on the mufflers and radiator covers, a revamped clutch housing and a new Triumph logo. As if the prom queen had been away from the party for a moment to change her wolf and come back as bubbly as in the early evening.

Because under his new eyes, the Street Triple 675 R remains the excellent little roadster we know. First there is its singing and angry 3-cylinder, straight from the Daytona. A mill that likes to take turns and stir your guts in the process. Certainly one of the most efficient and lively engines currently in the category, and certainly the one with which we take the most pleasure to work with. The chassis follows the score, a real little piloting treat. In terms of braking, the basic Street can already teach a lot of people. With its sporty front end, the R crashes the brakes to the road. And its suspensions offering more settings improve it dynamically. Enough to polish your piloting with little onions.
Oh sure, no motorcycle is perfect. But when it comes to fun, engine and driving, the 675 Street Triple R is a great model, however a little more demanding to take than a Japanese.
