Jules Cluzel has been selected by the new official MV Agusta Yakhnich Motorsport team to lead his F3 675 to victory in 2014. The French driver will team up with Vladimir Leonov while in Superbike, the F4RR will be driven by Claudio Corti.

Florian Marino confirmed on Kawasaki ! |
The young and talented Florian Marino was unable to participate in the entire 2013 Supersport season. His freelance work as David Salom’s replacement and then as a wild card at Kawasaki Intermoto Ponyexpres, however, allowed him to win a handlebar for 2014 in the same Czech team. Hand injured, the French driver will resume the track after the winter break… |
Not far from the Supersport world title from his first participation, in 2012 on the handlebars of the Honda CBR600RR prepared by the PTR team of Simon Buckmaster, Jules Cluzel was mounted this year in the Superbike category at the controls of the (left for Aprilia, you remember ?!).
Despite a solid first season and like his teammate Leon Camier, the French n ° 16 could not keep his place in the Suzuki team managed by Paul Denning: and should be supported by the British champion Alex Lowes (the Sam’s twin brother!).
Fortunately, our national Jules has resilience: discarded from the Superbike, he will rebound in Supersport in 2014 and this transfer is not a sanction, since he will have an MV Agusta directly supplied by the Varese factory and simmered. by the Russian team that led Sam Lowes – we were just talking about it – on his Yamaha R6 !
"Returning to Supersport as part of a project of this magnitude, with a team that reigns over the championship and a motorcycle as competitive as the F3, offers me a magnificent opportunity to obtain the title which narrowly escaped me in 2012", observes Jules Cluzel.
Alongside our Coq Supersportif will be installed in the MV Agusta Yakhnich Motorsport box: Vladimir Leonov. Reduced last season by a knee injury contracted from there, the Russian driver hopes to be able to achieve a good third season in WSSP.
"I really like the F3 and I once had the opportunity to ride it", remembers the n ° 65, tenth in the 2013 championship."I can’t wait to try it. It’s really good for me to continue working with the same team and the same staff. I’m sure we can get good results".
Also registered in World Superbike 2014, the official MV Agusta team has decided to entrust its unique F4RR to the experienced Claudio Corti…
Second in the Superstock 1000 Cup three times (in 2006 and 2007 on R1, then in 2009 on GSX-R), the Italian rider raced for three years in Moto2 (second in) and rode last year in the CRT class on FTR Kawasaki, with which he entered the points six times.
This year of course, Claudio intends to do better than figuration: "I am proud to represent a great brand such as MV Agusta which is officially taking over the competition, and I also feel a certain weight on my shoulders", admits n ° 71.
"We’re going to have a lot of work to do for our first year in WSBK, but I’m ready to do my best and share my experience with the team so that we can achieve the highest goals.", testifies Corti.
And the work has already started for the three MV Agusta drivers: Cluzel, Leonov and Corti are taking part today and tomorrow in the final 2013 tests organized in Jerez. Business to follow on Site of course: stay connected !
